Gaia, junho de 2021, para a loja do Fashion and Textile Museum, WOW PFFM.

Desenvolvido à luz de um crescente interesse pela escultura realista aplicada ao método de feltragem e à estética pessoal.

Cada ingrediente do prato foi esculpido em lã feltrada num intenso e dedicado trabalho de atelier traduzindo todos os elementos críticos do realismo ao aglomerado de fibras. Contornando as características naturais da matéria-prima até que esta ganhe uma forma, cor e textura que engane os sentidos.

Um eco da vida quotidiana moldada em fibra em um 'trompe l'oeil' surrealmente aconchegante e relaxante, a expressão das sensações da lã em têxteis impossíveis, mas familiares. Lúdico, convidativo e desarmante.

Composto por ovos, tostas, cogumelos, morcela, feijão cozido, tomate e toucinho fumado. São peças feitas com muito cuidado em manter a fidelidade visual de um prato que pertence ao imaginário coletivo contemporâneo. No qual se pode sentir o sabor dessas peças com os olhos e as mãos. Na boca, um travo imaginário de lã.

Developed in light of a growing interest in realistic sculpture applied to the felting method and the personal aesthetics.

Each dish's topical elements were sculpted in felted wool in an intense and dedicated atelier work translating all the critical ingredients from realism to fibre agglomerate. Bypassing the natural characteristics of the raw material until it takes on a shape, colour and texture that deceives the senses.

It echoes everyday life moulded in fibre in a surreally cosy and soothing trompe l'oeil, the expression of wool sensations in impossible but familiar textiles. Playful, inviting and disarming.

Composed of eggs, toast, mushrooms, black pudding, baked beans, tomatoes and bacon. They are pieces made with great care in maintaining the visual fidelity of a dish that belongs to the contemporary collective imagination. You can feel the flavour in these pieces with your eyes and hands. In the mouth, there is an imaginary wool aftertaste.
